The Antichrist
"For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not confess the coming of Jesus Christ in the flesh. Such a one is the deceiver and the antichrist."
There are three aspects to truth that separate believers from deceivers:
- They believe Jesus will return.
- They believe Jesus is still fully man and will return in the flesh.
- They confess this to others.
So, what types of thoughts come from the spirit of the antichrist?
- Jesus was a good man, even an exemplary man, but he isn't returning to judge the world.
- Jesus is returning, but only as a spirit. He has discarded the body in which he died.
- I'm scared to tell people that I believe Jesus is coming back.
Lord, may I be among the faith-filled and bold people who look forward to your return.
